Bad news, Pro Choice Voters: the Global Gag Rule has come up for discussion yet again! Okay, when Obama severed the head of this deal like a champion riding a unicorn back in ’09, didn’t you think it was over for good? Yeah, me too, but apparently we were wrong. Politicians who don’t give a damn about women’s health are at it again, seeking to not only reinstate the Global Gag Rule but to also A. ban funding for the United Nations Population Fund and B. cut contraception funding in general.

If it were up to these people, we’d all have no say and be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen—or dead, of course. Forget lifestyle choices and your dreams and life, folks; our very health is at risk here. You know, I’m really tired of people I don’t sleep with trying to dictate what happens in my uterus, and the collective uteruses of my sisters. (Not that people I sleep with get to control it, either!)

Please take a moment to add your voice to this Change.org petition calling for President Obama’s support of international family planning. We wanted it back then; we still want it, Mr. President! Be sure to express your views to the Senate as well (give them a call too, if you like!).
